Are there any scholarships for CISCO?

Yes!  Get more information here.  We also offer early bird registration and other discounts.

What is housing like?

CISCO provides dormitory housing in Corbin-Olson Hall on Western Illinois Campus within walking distance to all classrooms and theatres. Every attendee will receive their own room. Mini fridges and Microwaves are typical, but not a guarantee. For a virtual tour of the accommodations go to:

What is the food like?

CISCO is proud to create a wonderful learning community and part of that is taking care of your food while you're here!  For all the days you have class, we'll be providing breakfast, lunch and dinner, which we eat together (although you're also welcome to take your food back to the dorm for a bit of quiet).  Breakfast and lunch are typically cereal, eggs, bagels, sandwiches, veggies, etc.  For dinner, we get take out from local restaurants.  We can accommodate dietary restrictions such as gluten free and vegan.  You will have to feed yourself on days off from class.

I want to attend, but the schedule seems really intensive. Would there be time for me to do other work/life things?

CISCO is meant to be intensive. It will be long days and a lot of information. You're welcome to use your free time, such as over meals, in the evenings and on weekends, to take care of other tasks, but we do recommend you prioritize rest for those times off.

Do you need to be a member of Dueling Arts International or the Society of American Fight Directors?

Nope!  No stage combat experience or membership is required.  Some students come having tested many times for DAI and/or the SAFD before, some for the first time.

If I have my own housing will that reduce my tuition?

Yes! It is possible to reduce your tuition if you have your own housing. Typically this will only reduce your tuition by around $300. Please email us for more information on this option!
